Strapping machines

A significant innovation for unitizing applications, the
MH-P provides consistent, retained strap tension, improving package integrity throughout the transportation cycle. Built with features that facilitate easy maintenance and operation, the MH-P provides the lowest cost of ownership available in a side seal strapping system.

Key Features

Multi-level tensioning system
The MH-P’s innovative tensioning system equalizes the strap tension from the top and bottom to provide more accurate strap tension that stays consistent throughout the cycling process.

Maximize versatility
The MH-P, available in multiple chute sizes with a number of options, is ideal for a wide range of packaging applications and can be easily integrated into most production lines.

The MH-VM side seal plastic strapping machine combines Signode's quick-change strap feeding and sealing modules with high speed, reliable operation to maximize productivity and reduce downtime. Simple to operate and easy to maintain, the MH-VM with its large selection of chute sizes is ideal for a variety of packaging applications.

The MH-VR and VRB side seal plastic strapping machines, featuring Signode's modular head technology, apply high, consistent strap tension to loads. Both machines are ideal for a variety of applications, including cartons, palletized products, appliances, bulk bins, bales and bundled products.

The MOD-710 side seal plastic strapping machine combines Signode’s quick-change modules with high speed, reliable operation to maximize productivity and reduce downtime.

Key Features

Minimize downtime
The MOD-710’s innovative modular design consists of separate feed and seal modules weighing less than 32 lbs. each. These lightweight, compact modules are easy to access and can be changed out quickly for routine maintenance.

Maximize reliability
The MOD-710 utilizes Smart-weld joint technology to ensure maximum joint reliability every time.

Manual strapping tools

The BXT3 combination tool applies polyester strapping, utilizing friction weld joint technology to join the strap ends. The battery-operated BXT3 has a simple two-button process and ergonomic design to reduce operator fatigue.

Plastic strapping
Tenax® polyester strapping

Tenax polyester strapping is ideally suited for unitizing PET bottle, glass container and metal can bulk loads. It yields higher break strengths and maintains a higher level of retained strap tension than polypropylene strapping. So straps stay tight on beverage loads that tend to shift during handling and transit. Tenax can be applied by hand tools or power strapping equipment. Some sizes are available in long coils for fewer coil changeovers and greater uptime.

Contrax® polypropylene strapping

Contrax polypropylene strapping is designed to run through hand tools and power strapping equipment. Its excellent elongation recovery properties make it a good choice for light to medium-duty unitizing applications, including horizontal unitization of case goods.

Stretch wrapping systems

Stretch wrapping systems

For nearly 30 years, Signode has been one of the world’s largest producers of stretch wrapping systems, including both stretch film and application equipment. These systems, which may be used exclusively or in conjunction with strapping systems, help protect products from damage during handling, transit and storage.

We produce our own stretch films in a variety of types and sizes, including hand application films and machine applied films. We also offer a full line of application equipment, from hand held wrappers to fully automatic stretch wrapping systems.

Our sales, equipment service, customer service and engineering departments can help you design the optimum protective packaging system for your application.
